What Makes this eLearning Center Different?

Access Gloria's 20+ years experience in alternative education including unschool facilitation and training. She has a proven track record of successful student learning outcomes driving growth in numerous home and school learning experiences across a broad range of educational settings.

Gloria has spent countless hours not only studying math and it's relationships with the plant and animal kingdom (MathArt), but also has years of "dirt time". She deschooled in 2011 and has been a successful thriving alternative unschool educator.

When students want the academic structure, few, if any, online learning systems include subject integrated or unit study learning in math and science. The online MathArt and science courses incorporates outdoor learning with other subjects including history, literature, writing and art.

Meet Gloria Brooks

Hi, I'm Gloria, aka "NatureGlo",  founder and facilitator of NatureGlo's eScience (NeS), an unschool or self-directed eLearning center. Since 2011, I've been helping homeschool children guide their learning.

I hold a BA in K - 12 education with over 20 years experience teaching grade school students in various educational settings. My progressive learning methods and strategies have been a driving force in creating NeS and transitioning into an online unschool solution for so many struggling homeschool families looking for a more meaningful educational experience for their children.

I decided to take all of my educational knowledge and progressive experiences and use them to help homeschool families like you achieve success in student self-directed education.

Leading Homeschool & Teaching companies trust in NatureGlo's eScience:

Here's what you get when you enroll:

The MathArt, life and earth science courses are guided by videos taught by Gloria. In her main lesson videos, she teaches a short lesson from a Slideshow. Each lesson includes various child self-directed learning activity options. Students are at choice for what courses they want to do.

You get access to all 25+ of NatureGlo's MathArt and science online courses and the parent Liberate Your Homeschool Learning unschool training. Downloadable content, which you can keep forever includes Slideshows and an optional study guide per lesson. Additionally, you get a buffet style of ideas for student self-directed projects, of which your child may ask for your guidance and or assistance.

Students can easily go through lessons, mark them complete, get achievements, and see their progress.

Within each course, I pose interactive questions per lesson for students to respond to in a comments box. I will respond to student questions and select comments typically within 24 hours. Usually sooner.

Two student Weekly Live exploration Classes

On Mondays (opening circle) and Fridays (closing circle) from 10 am - 12 pm Central, there are two 2-hour weekly student live classes. Students get personalized self-directed learning coaching within a group setting from Gloria. Students share their learning at the end of each week with the class. Parent attendance is necessary for supporting their child and facilitating breakout rooms on a rotating basis.

This 8-week course gives new and seasoned struggling unschoolers a great foundation for an ongoing and successful unschooling experience. Join us on Tuesdays from 10am - 12pm for the LYHL training and Q & A. You have direct access to NatureGlo via the website chat or email.

NatureGlo's Parent and Student Forum

Homeschool families have a remarkable range of expertise, skills, and homeschooling/unschooling experiences. Ingrid Dick (Homeschool mom)

"My hatred of math stemmed mostly from a learning disability called dyscalculia..."

“The more I learn in MathArt, the more I realize the infinite number of ways math can be used. I have absolutely despised math since I was old enough to add and subtract; therefore, math has always been a cold, empty, meaningless subject to me.

My hatred of math stemmed mostly from a learning disability called dyscalculia, which interferes with awareness of concepts such as numerical values, memorization of facts, measurements, ability to tell time, and distinction between left and right. My favorite subjects in school have always been the arts and natural sciences. When I began taking the MathArt class, I learned that my most beloved and hated subjects were not opposites, but intertwined. I'd never viewed math in that light before and it has helped me greatly in all three subjects."
